Good apartment in central Lyon.

Points positifs : The property is in a very good central location in the heart of Lyon, within walking distance of all the sites. It was very easy to access, with instructions for code to entry the house and drop box to collect the keys. The neighbourhood, despite being central was fine regarding street noise (just a few scooters etc.) The apartment is close to a parking garage (21 Place Tolozan), which was underground and and safe - but with narrow entries/exit and cost 160 Euros for 4 nights (Thursday to Monday). The apartment itself is nice, decorations were fine and with a large comfy sofa and plenty of chairs etc. There were many glasses, dishes and cooking appliances, and was also well equipped with a washing machine, dish washer, large fridge, baby cot, etc. There was a lift (apartment is 3rd floor) but it is fairly small - could just squeeze in a stroller and 1 person. I think this is a nice apartment but I would try another option in the future.

Points négatifs : Don't expect any views - one side is onto a narrow street and the other onto the bins. Also as others have noted when the windows are closed the apartment feels a little warm/stuffy. We were lucky as the temp was 27 in the day and cool in the evenings and so didn't need to open them much... but I could imagine it would be difficult on hot nights. The owner has provided fans and there is a portable air conditioning unit (but I assume this needs some effort to set up with the outlets etc. ) There are also lots of instructions around the apartment, how to put away the glasses, how to not put makeup on the towels, how not to throw things down the toilet etc. Its a bit overkill.... in my opinion these things should be kept in the house rule book and it kind of spoils the feel of the place.

Points positifs : Location, furnishings, decor, the lift. Comfortable beds. Great bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & obliging. Everything, eg restaurants, transport, shops were virtually at the doorstep. Very comprehensive introduction to the facilities & excellent written information & recommendations. Wifi.

Points négatifs : We had endless problems using the TV but staff came almost immediately to assist.

Chic, confort, tres bien-situee.

Points positifs : In brief, the apartment was chic, comfortable and very well- situated for us. A bonus was that all of us love Vietnamese food and there was a friendly little Vietnamese restaurant next door-perfect on a very rainy evening! We could also invite our friend who lives in Lyon, for a drink at ‘our place’, which was lovely- it would usually be the other way round!

Points négatifs : The instructions from the host included a request to bring €1k as a deposit. I understand that- this is an excellent apartment and host wants to keep it that way. But a bit surprising since I’d already paid, perhaps.

Fascinating city and a good flat to stay in.

Points positifs : The location was excellent and the agents helpful and responsive. A storm caused a problem with WiFi but the agent provided an alternative although it was not fast. The flat was roomy and had good facilities.

Points négatifs : The building was being worked on. There was a scaffold outside our window but it was not used at all during our stay so was not a problem.
