Points positifs : emplacement parfait, proche place Bellecour, hypercentre de Lyon mais dans une rue calme. le gros plus est la vue spectaculaire et rare sur l'ensemble de la ville. Bel espace, jolis meubles, confort.

Points négatifs : Une odeur désagréable a noté dans les salle de bains et montée d'escalier.

Points positifs : The location of the apartment is the best in town and the view from the terrace is one of a kind! You can enjoy Lyon even from the aparatment terrace :) The staff was super helpful and kind.

A beautiful place that is someone else's home

Points positifs : The apartment is just as pictured, and is beautiful. It was relatively spacious with a large kitchen. Views across rooftops and across the city landscape were incredible. The location is quite central, with a relatively short walk to shopping and to public transportation. There is a small grocery immediately across the street, and other groceries and restaurants very close by. The rooftop deck is large and is an invigorating place to relax and take in the views of the city.

Points négatifs : I usually avoid renting places that are someone's home. These places always have personal effects that are important to the owners, and I'd rather not impose on them. This place is clearly some gentleman's home. His whiskey and wine are here. He has closets full of his clothes, and drawers with keys and money. This is not a place that I would have reserved had I known it was someone's residence. Finding the key to get in, and then returning it when we left, was something of a scavenger hunt or a geocaching experience. I had to find an address on a street unfamiliar to me in a city to which I'd never come before, and then I had to enter a code on a keypad through a barred gate and then push through that to enter a courtyard and find a key box behind a tree. Crazy. The apartment flooring is wooden planks that are apparently suspended over a subfloor. The wooden floor squeaks as soon as you step anywhere on it anywhere in the apartment. My wife and daughter both complained that they were awakened during the night when anyone woke up and went to the restroom. The chairs in the living room were all uncomfortable. There was literally nowhere comfortable to sit in the apartment. We found no rental apartments in 3+ weeks in Germany, France and Switzerland that provided sufficient toiletries for one's stay, and this place was no exception. Expect to bring your own soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, kleenex, etc. I had to carry my empty glass bottles 100+ meters to a specific place to dispose of them.

Great location, just steps away from the hussel of Lyon shopping.
